World Championship medalist Hannah England takes on Knowle and Dorridge running club role

RUNNING: WORLD Championship silver medalist Hannah England has been announced as the new director of running at Knowle and Dorridge running club.

England, who won silver in the 1500m at the Daegu World Championships in 2011, is the 15th fastest competitor over 1500m in the UK.

The Oxford-born athlete will bring her wealth of experience and knowledge to the club in an attempt to pass on her expertise to the ever-improving Knowle and Dorridge team.

Formed in 2010, Knowle and Dorridge running club hosts a range of abilities from newcomers to 2hrs 34mins marathon runners.




Club chairperson Darren John said he is delighted to welcome Hannah to the Knowle and Dorridge team.

He said: “Her willingness to support grassroots sport is exciting and we look forward to working with her in the coming months.


“Our club caters to all abilities while being increasingly competitive nationally.

“Having Hannah on board as consultant will help athletes achieve their goals whatever they may be and drive the club forward.

“We want to be a leading deliverer of peak performance and improved health and well-being in the local community through a sport we love.”

Hannah’s first task will be to help direct K&D’s cross-country season,
