FOOTBALL: A WONDER strike against Torquay helped Moors keeper Nathan Vaughan bag the Vanarama National League Player of the Month award.
Vaughan became the first ever Moors player to win the award, and the first to win a ‘Player of the Month’ prize since Gaz Dean scooped the National League North equivalent in November 2015.
The 36-year-old’s goal against Torquay went viral when he lofted all defenders and the home side’s goalkeeper to bag Moors the three points in a crucial clash on the south coast.
Vaughan will be back in action for the Moors on Saturday as they face Macclesfield Town.
