RUGBY UNION: A NEW girls’ rugby team has been formed in Solihull with the help from Coventry Wasps community cashback scheme.

Camp Hill Rugby Football Club (RFC), based in Shirley, has set up an under-13s team with part of the £800 funding received from Wasps Rugby Club’s cashback scheme – with the remaining cash going towards maintaining the club’s pitches and facilities.

The scheme has also enabled members from the club to take regular, subsidised trips to the Ricoh Arena and make use of the Arena’s clubhouse.

Camp Hill RFC director, Simon Tansley said: “Funding we generated from using the scheme has really helped our club over the past year – especially with setting up our new girls’ team.

“Opportunities that come from the cashback scheme are only bound by the number of tickets sold and the ideas generated by your club – I recommend any community-led club look at taking advantage of the offer like we did.”

To qualify for the cashback on tickets, all community-led rugby clubs must be registered Wasps members.
