AN UNBEATEN run of four wins and a draw from five matches has lifted Solihull Moors into the top three in the Conference North and earned manager Marcus Bignot the Manager of the Month award.
The Moors enjoyed a great month scoring 14 goals and taking 13 points from their five league games which resulted in their rise into the play-offs.
“I feel privileged to receive the Vanarama Conference North Manager of the Month award for October,” said Bignot, who is in his fourth season with the Moors.
“Everyone is working in harmony, from the Board of Directors, all club staff and most of all this squad of players.
“I believe we have established Solihull Moors as a ‘top ten’ club in this league, and for me it is gratifying that people talk about us as play-off contenders. Only time will tell, but this generous award suggests we are going in the right direction.”
Marcus has worked tirelessly both on and off the pitch to achieve this success and has seen the number of spectators at the Club double during his tenure.
He was presented with the Award before the home game against Hyde United on Saturday.
The official award panel said: “Marcus was the stand out candidate with Solihull Moors racking up a massive haul of points from their games, including two away wins at Oxford City and Boston United and a memorable home victory against high flying Chorley.”
