SILHILLIANS RUFC’s U10s side recently stepped out onto Leicester Tigers’ Welford Road pitch to contest the annual Prima Tiger Cup.
With the Tigers hosting Bristol Bears in the Gallagher Premiership later in the day, the Solihull side competed against Old Newtonians RFC prior to kick-off, taking part in the cup which enters more than 70 teams every year – now in its 25th season.
Silhillians coach Mike Nash said the event provided the club’s young guns with a buzz of excitement stepping out onto the famous pitch.
“It is such a good venue, with an amazing pitch, and I am just really happy for the kids, parents and the coaches that we have the opportunity to come here.
“The children have all been ridiculously excited, some couldn’t sleep and trying to run the warm up was mostly attempts to calm them down.
“It has been absolutely brilliant from the festivals all the way through to here – so it has been a really good experience.”
