SILHILLIANS Rugby Club’s new community department, powered by Community Group, are running free sports events as part of the Commonwealth Games Legacy over the coming weeks.
The club will host three Commonwealth Games Legacy sessions as part of funding received from Sport England and England Rugby.
And the sessions include Walking Rugby (which took place on Wednesday, August 24) and Touch Rugby with the remaining two sessions to take place on Thursday, September 1 and Thursday, September 15 respectively.
Both formats of the sport are inclusive of all players and suitable for all abilities.
Every participant will be given the opportunity to be active, learn new skills and receive a welcome pack from the club, inclusive of an exclusive membership discount.
The club’s community group specialise in aiding the enrichment, well-being and health of our communities through wide-ranging and exceptional opportunities.
And the department are resolute in their desire to support as many people as possible within our communities – stressing that the need for togetherness and support has never been more apparent following the Covid-19 pandemic.
The club would love to welcome as many people from across Solihull as possible.
