Solihull Editorial 1st Jul, 2022   0

OCTAVIAN Droobers Orienteering Club are launching a series of summer events, including three free introductory sessions, at locations around Coventry, Warwickshire and surrounding areas.

The first free session will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, July 9 at Coventry’s War Memorial Park.

This will be a free introduction to the fun outdoor adventure sport for all ages from five to 85-years-old.

The short 1.9km trail will be popular with families and the longer 4.5km trail will appeal to runners with instruction to be given by local club members.

In July, orienteers will be welcomed at Hartshill Hayes Country Park, near Nuneaton, followed by events throughout the summer at Hinckley, Coombe Abbey Park, Rough Close Scout Camp, Warwick University Campus, St. Nicholas Park in Warwick and Burton Dassett Hills.

Locations and more information are available on the club website.
