OLTON & West Warwickshire Ladies made it three wins from three in Conference West with a 2-0 victory over Barnes.
This was the first time the two sides had met and it turned out to be a feisty affair, with Olton skipper Laura Hughes needing to go to hospital after she took a blow to the face.
The game could easily have got out of hand but despite provocation, proceedings slowly simmered down.
With the score 0-0 at half time, the second half was a better affair.
Olton gradually took control and ten minutes into the half Jenny Pritchard scored her first goal of the season, following up on a save from a penalty corner.
Olton scored their second goal five minutes from time from a classic move swept in by Alice Conquest, her third in three games.

Meanwhile, Olton’s Men’s team enjoyed a 4-2 away win at the University of Bristol in Conference West.
The game started as quite an even contest with both sides getting chances but unable to capitalise.
In the 12th minute, however, the home side got a penalty corner which they scored from.
This made Olton try even harder and despite a lot of pressure, they couldn’t break the students down.
After 28 minutes the hosts increased their lead against the run of play.
Five minutes after the restart, Dan Sulway pulled a goal back with a drag flick from a corner.
Pete Jackson pulled the visitors level and five minutes later he gave them the lead.
Four minutes from time after a foul in the ‘D’, Olton were awarded a penalty flick which Joe Paul duly dispatched.
