New date for Daggers duel after further COVID-19 setback for Moors

Solihull Editorial 13th Jan, 2021 Updated: 13th Jan, 2021   0

SOLIHULL Moors’ struggles with COVID-19 continued as their National League trip to table-toppers Torquay United was postponed.

With the club announcing positive tests within the Moors first team last Saturday, the immediate cancellation of their midweek bout with Gary Johnson’s high-flying Gulls offered the latest setback to their season – having already suffered two prolonged spells without action in November and around the festive period.

With the Solihull squad forced to self isolate for a period of ten days, this weekend’s Aldershot Town visit in the FA Trophy has also been postponed.

As it stands, the rescheduled Trophy clash with Aldershot on Tuesday, January 19 offers Jimmy Shan’s side their closest opportunity to return to the turf – with an away day at in-form Yeovil Town (January 23) following in the league during the same week.

While a new date for Solihull’s clash with Torquay is still yet to be announced, Moors’ have been allocated a slot for their rescheduled home meeting with Dagenham and Redbridge on Tuesday, March 2.
