FORMER Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes took home the second edition of this year’s Celeb-Am at the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship at Nailcote Hall last Friday.
The 56-year-old Scotsman came out on top to win the title with his score of -2, finishing ahead of a number of celebrity golfers including Harry Potter actors James and Oliver Phelps, Ashes winner Steve Harmison MBE and former West Bromwich Albion striker turned pundit Don Goodman.
Playing a reduced course of nine holes rather than the usual 18 due to persistent rainfall the night before, Moyes never looked back after scoring a birdie on the opening hole.
Commenting on the golfing prowess of Moyes, two-time Major winner and host Tony Jacklin CBE said: “David put in a great performance today and more than deserved his win.
“It’s been another fantastic week of golf here at Nailcote and today rounded off another successful event.”
