SOLIHULL Vixens Women’s Ice Hockey Team, who play in the Women’s Elite League, had five players represent Team GB at the recent World Championships Division 2A.

And Solihull’s quintet helped Team GB secure a historic Gold medal and promotion to Division 1B for the first time in 14 years.

Vixens players’ Saffron Allen, Sarah Hutchinson, Katie Henry, Chamonix Jackson and Jodie Bloom were all part of the GB squad and won four matches from four at the Championships.

And the Vixens can clinch the Women’s Elite League title having won 15 of their 16 matches this season with admission free and everyone welcome to their next home match.

Vixens play Kingston Diamonds on Saturday, April 30 at the Hobs Moat rink with face off at 6.25pm and know anything other than a defeat will crown the club as Elite League champions for the first time.
