SOLIHULL Vixens continued their dominance of the Women’s Elite League with a narrow 1-0 win against Queen Bees.
The Vixens clinched their 17th win in 18 league matches courtesy of Sarah Hutchinson’s 28th minute goal assisted by Katie Henry and Jodie Bloom.
Solihull goaltender Michelle Franklin was awarded the Player of the Game having produced an outstanding performance with Queen Bees unable to score despite firing in 20 shots on goal.
And the win means the Vixens now lead Queens Bees, who previously dominated the Elite League for eight years prior to the pandemic, by 11 points with two matches left to play.
The Vixens travel to Hull to play Kingston Diamonds on Sunday, May 22 for their penultimate league game of the season before the playoff weekend in Widnes on the weekend of June 4/5.
