SOLIHULL Moors Women eased to a 3-0 win against Larkhall Athletic Women to secure their second pre-season win in as many matches.
Moors captain Zoe Creaney netted a brace with summer signing Becky Knight also on target as Ben Davis took charge of the team in the absence of manager Tom Blaymires.
A depleted squad saw Harley Savage replace Megan Donohoe in goal whilst Jess Howard was handed her debut for the club at full-back with Jodie Price dropping to the bench.
Elsewhere, Jenna Roberts came in to replace Amber Downs, who was carrying a knock whilst there were starts for Demi Walker, Thea Clearkin – who officially signed for the club during the week – and Lyndsey Ross-Baker.
Moors made a fast start in Bath and created a chance inside the first minute when Cheyanne Jarvis stung the palms of the Larkhall keeper from the edge of the penalty area.
And Jarvis hit the outside of the post soon after as she tried to turn home Tizzy Russell-Cartwright’s wicked ball into the box at the far post.
Solihull were rewarded for their bright start after just eight minutes when Creaney was first to collect a loose ball before taking a touch and firing a venomous effort past the goalkeeper.
Larkhall’s best chance of the half fell to their striker who broke free of the Moors defence only to be denied by Savage in goal.
And Moors should have doubled their lead just past the half-hour mark when debutant Howard’s teasing cross was sent wide by the arriving Ross-Baker.
Ross-Baker was unlucky again in the second period when her curling shot went narrowly over the top.
However, Moors finally put the game to bed deep into the second half when Creaney rose highest to loop an effort over the goalkeeper from Jarvis’s corner
And Moors added a third goal with virtually the last kick of the game as Knight stole in at the back post to treble the visitors lead with a glancing header into the far corner.
