SOLIHULL Moors have confirmed the season-long loan signing of Nico Gordon from Championship side Birmingham City, subject to League and FA approval.
The 21-year-old has already made 15 league appearances for Birmingham’s first team, scoring his only senior goal in a 2-1 win away at Bristol City.
However, Gordon did not feature for Blues last season and will continue his development at the ARMCO Arena.
Gordon said: “I’m delighted to be here, all the lads are welcoming, it’s a good feeling to be here and I’m looking to push on and get some minutes under my belt.
“Growing up around Birmingham, we’ve played against Moors many times, they’re a good team, good on the ball, being here now is a good feeling for me.
“Getting minutes and playing games is very important, once you’re up to speed your body starts to adapt to it and you get stronger and sharper on the ball.
“Games are most important for me, not playing for a season with Blues, it’s good for me to come here and know I’m going to play regularly.
“I’m comfortable on the ball, I’m aggressive, I like to win, I like to compete, I’m quite laid back but when I get onto the pitch you see the aggression, I like to win my challenges and one versus one defending.”
