ANDREW DALLAS scored a first-half brace as Solihull Moors won 3-1 against Maidenhead United to extend their unbeaten run to 13 matches in the league.
Dallas moved onto 16 goals for the season after netting twice in the opening 45 minutes before Harry Boyes sealed the points late on at the ARMCO Arena.
The result means Moors remain fourth in the National League table, 12 points behind leaders Stockport County and nine points ahead of the chasing pack for a play-off spot.
And Dallas opened the scoring after just 12 minutes when he rifled into the roof of the net from Kyle Hudlin’s header across the face of goal after good work from Ryan Barnett down the right.
Solihull almost doubled their lead when Boyes’ free-kick was saved by Maidenhead goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore.
Moors extended their lead on 39 minutes when his deflected shot from outside of the penalty area wrong-footed Ashmore and found the net despite the Maidenhead keeper getting a hand to the striker’s effort.
However, Maidenhead reduced the deficit on 52 minutes when Josh Kelly found himself in between two defenders before firing past Ryan Boot.
The home side should have restored their two-goal lead when Hudlin’s shot cannoned back off the underside of the crossbar, with the goal at his mercy, after Ashmore’s kick ricocheted off of the big striker.
And Joe Sbarra then went close when he was played through on goal by Danny Newton’s flick only to be denied by the body of Ashmore.
The points were made safe in the final minute when Boyes’ scored his second goal in as many games with a deflected effort from 25-yards out that looped over Ashmore.
Solihull are next in action away at Halifax Town on Tuesday, April 5 with kick-off at 7.45pm at The Shay.
