PROLIFIC forwards Jon Hamer and Andy Matthews have swapped AFC Solihull for local rivals Earlswood Town.

The duo, who were responsible for 60 goals between them on the way to AFC Solihull’s third-place finish last season, now look forward to the challenge of competing at a higher level in Division Two next term.

Both surpassed the 50 goal mark during their two years at the club, with Hamer firing 35 goals and Matthews finding the net 25 times last season, as the pair reunite with manager Tom Reynolds at The Pavilions.

The pair will potentially get their first outing for the club away to Knowle on Saturday (3pm) in a pre-season friendly at The Robins Nest.

Meanwhile, captain Simon Quigley has signed terms for the 2019/20 season, extending his stay at the club for a fourth season, joining goalkeeper Fraser Oliver, midfielder Danny Holliday and forward Matt Pemberton in staying on at the club.
