SOLIHULL boxers Elise Glynn and Jerry Lee Palmer have reached the finals of the England Boxing Senior National Championships which take place this weekend in Manchester.
Glynn (-57kg) and Lee Palmer (-75kg) are both attempting to write their name in the history books at the oldest and most prestigious boxing event in the country.
The pair train at Solihull’s Combat Sports Centre and represent West Warwicks ABC.
Head Coach Paul Gilmore said: “This is a momentous day for us. Some clubs go decades without getting a boxer to the National Finals. For us to have two representing us on the same day is beyond belief.
“Both Elise and Jerry have prepared diligently for this and both have a very strong chance of winning.”
The event will be streamed live on BBC Sport with Glynn in action at 2.45pm and Lee Palmer fighting at 5.45pm at Manchester Central on Saturday, April 23.
