Whether you were stuck in it, playing in it or simply admiring it from your living room window – it’s fair to say – Solihull had an interesting day in the snow.

Families took to the gardens, parks to create their very own snowmen, snowdogs and even a polar bear and ventured to the hills to have a go at sledging.

An eight foot snowman named Slava the snow clown who made an appearance.

The choir at St Alphege Church headed outside for a festive picture and ended up having a snowball fight.

Meanwhile, schools around the borough closed on Monday and waste and recycling collections were suspended due to the conditions of side roads.
