Well being lunch highlights importance of mental health

FOUNTAINS Care Home in Shirley last month hosted a well-being lunch for staff and residents for World Mental Health Day 2020.

World Mental Health Day has the overall objective of raising awareness of the issues around the world and mobilising efforts in support of better mental health.

It’s well documented that poor mental health can affect anyone, any day of the year and this has never been more important with months of restrictions and uncertainty in 2020.

The theme this year is ‘mental health for all’. It was about bringing everyone together and making one positive change to support better mental health and recognising that it starts with just one thing.

With this in mind, Fountains Care Home, hosted a well-being lunch with fish and chips for staff and residents to show their support for one another for better mental health and to take responsibility for looking out for each other’s well-being.

Fountains care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals. Fountains provides residential and bespoke dementia care.
