Wave of Light service held in Dorridge

Solihull Editorial 14th Oct, 2021   0

BABIES will be remembered at a Wave of Light service in Dorridge.

The TeddyRose Foundation founders Mike and Trisha White – who lost a son and a daughter during pregnancy and birth – are inviting bereaved parents, children, family and friends to join them at St Philips Church from 6.45pm on October 15.

There will be a short service and families will be able to light a candle in their children’s memory at the Manor Road Church.

Parents will also be able to add their babies name to the TeddyRose remembrance tree – using the pens, cards and the white, pink or blue ribbons provided.

The wave of candles and tree will stay lit and glow for one hour in memory of all the babies.

Families will also be given a packet of Forget-Me-Not seeds to take home and plant in their babies honour.

Mike and Trisha said: “Whilst we remember our precious babies everyday, the Wave Of Light is a special time to stop and all come together to remember all babies who have sadly died.

“Times like this can help families feel less alone.”

Parking and refreshments will be available.
