NIMBLE-FINGERED crafters have raised a brew to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Solihull Creative Textiles have been making commemorative tea cups, saucers, mugs and teapots, as well as a feast of cup cakes and biscuits, ready for a cream tea, all out of fabric and thread.
These pieces, alongside some other work created by the group during lockdown, will be on show throughout June at The Empty Shop Gallery in Mell Square.
Anne Thumpston, chair of the textile group, said: “The display of commemorative ware showcases the creativity and enthusiasm of the group, with those new to stitching as well as those with more experience, all contributing to the project.”
