SUSPECTED arsonists played a dangerous game as they set fire to a car next to an open gas main in Chelmsley Wood last night.
Sheldon Fire Station addressed the blaze in Cornfield Croft after calls were logged from many local residents.
The first call was at around 10.40pm when two fire crews were sent to the scene, including This included eight firefighters who successfully put out the fire at around 11pm with no one hurt.
West Midlands Fire Service, said the fire was believed to have been started deliberately and the police were in attendance.
