A SHIRLEY charity shop will have a different look this week as Star Wars takes over to promote a special prize draw.
The Sense charity shop on Stratford Road has an exclusive autograph book signed by the cast and crew of the iconic movie franchise to give away.
Raising money to support people who are deafblind, have sensory impairments and complex needs, the shop will be running Star Wars themed activities from youngsters and their families until Sunday, April 16.
Lifelong Star Wars fan Neil Ellis has donated the book packed with autographs after spending a year collecting celebrity signatures of the likes of Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
A winner will be chosen on Thursday, May 4, with all proceedings from the fundraising event going to the national disability charity Sense.
The autograph book, which also includes Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker from the original series, is displayed in a spectacular handmade ‘Millennium Falcon themed’ bronze-cast.
It has already raised over nine thousand pounds for the charity.
To be in with a chance of winning the book, members of the public are encouraged to make a minimum donation of £5 in-store or online by visiting www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Autograph-Book
