SOLIHULL’S first ever festival of iconic Land Rovers will take place this summer.
‘LR Fest’ will take place between June 22 and 24, with rare vintage cars, an enthusiasts’ area for 4×4 fans, off-road driving experiences, outdoor cinema and family entertainment.
There will also be street food and bars which organisers say will ‘enhance’ the festival atmosphere.
The Festival is being held to celebrate Land Rover’s 70th Jubilee, and vehicle production in Solihull where millions of the multi-award winning cars have rolled off the factory lines at the Lode Lane plant.
Melanie Palmer, Director, Solihull BID, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Jaguar Land Rover to bring an amazing community experience to the people of Solihull and beyond.
“There will be lots of surprises and activities for everyone to enjoy, including off-road demonstrations for visitors to understand how these iconic vehicles handle challenging terrains.”
More details about the Solihull LR Fest will be released over the coming weeks and months.
