Solihull trekker climbs 20,000 feet and raises £4,825 for charity

A SOLIHULL trekker climbed 20,000 feet up Mount Kilimanjaro and raised an impressive £4,825 for the British Heart Foundation.

Steve Walker, who works for Solihull College and University as a graphic designer, took on one the world’s tallest free-standing mountain and endured temperatures of 35°C in the rainforest and -20°C at the summit over the course of his week-long challenge.

Steve also held a fundraising events to raise some extra funds.

He said he made the journey to Tanzania in Africa in order to raise awareness and as much money possible for the charity.
