A LIFEBOAT volunteer made a splash as she swam the extra mile for the RNLI.
Jackie Dean, from Shirley, decided to RNLI’s Mayday Mile Challenge after spending years in the Solihull branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute helping out at the charity.
She completed her swim at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre and raised a whopping £400.
Solihull RNLI said: “The branch is obviously extremely proud of Jackie and on behalf of the RNLI extend congratulations and grateful thanks to her for taking on the challenge to raise funds for the lifeboat service.”
