Solihull Council to hold consultation over sale of school sports pitches

Solihull Editorial 24th Sep, 2015 Updated: 21st Oct, 2016   0

SOLIHULL COUNCIL is holding a consultation over the conversion of two former school sports pitches into housing.

Following the completion of the new-look Fordbridge Primary School and Coleshill Heath Primary School sites, the Council is asking for local people to have their say over the disposal of the land.

The consultation will ask Silhillians whether they agree to the land being converted into housing, with the income from the sale of the sites being invested into the continuing North Solihull schools programme.

The sites have been designated for development into 110 homes and a new public open space in the Local Plan and are part of Solihull Council’s investment in the people and places of North Solihull.

The consultation, in which the Council is welcoming views from local residents, stakeholders and other interested parties, will run until Friday, November 6.
