Solihull Cat lover seeks help to raise funds to look after homeless animals

A CAT-LOVING lady is calling on kind-hearted individuals to help raise money for felines without a home.

Margaret Cliff has helped rehome cats for over 60 years from her house in Tanworth-in-Arden and was recognised by the Cat World Magazine for her dedication to caring for vulnerable felines.

However, following two separate incidents causing her to break her back and hip, Margaret’s mobility has been reduced.

As a result, she is no longer able to visit the homes of people wanting to adopt a cat or pick up cats looking to be rehomed – and relies on her workers.

To raise money for sick cats in need of operations and vaccinations, the team are holding a collection with Solihull Council on Saturday, July 15 in the town centre.

The money raised will go towards veterinary fees for the cats in her care.

Margaret said it will be difficult to hold the collection solely with her team, so is looking for volunteers to help.

She added: “Any help will be gratefully received.”

To volunteer contact Ms Cliff on 01564 742 515.
