Shirley Round Table prepare sleigh for Father Christmas to visit children

Solihull Editorial 10th Dec, 2020   0

FATHER CHRISTMAS will be taking time out of his busy schedule to help Shirley Round Table raise funds.

As usual Father Christmas and his helpers will be touring the town – however due to the pandemic the helpers will not be able to knock on doors.

Organiser Pete Williams said: “Santa will be staying in his sleigh so he can maintain distance to ensure he is well for the big day and will travel slowly down the road.”

From 6pm each night the sleigh will be pulled around the streets thanks by vehicles from Shirley company MotorservUK, who stepped in at the last minute to help the Round Table.

Kamran Saleem, managing director at MotorservUK, said: “It’s been a very tough year for everyone, and it continues to be, Christmas is offering a sense of normality and it’s more important this year more than ever for the kids to have something to look forward to and to give families a break and a bit of normality.”

They will be collecting money to hand out to local causes.
