BOUQUETS of flowers and musical performances were in order as a Shirley care home resident celebrated her 103rd birthday.
Olive Randle marked her milestone birthday with a garden party at The Priory Bupa Care Home that showcased her favourite lilac flowers with her fellow residents, neighbours and family.
To help mark the occasion, Olive was treated to an exclusive performance from one of The Priory’s regular entertainers Libby who serenaded the centenarian with her favourite songs.
Olive said: “It was a wonderful day and I felt very lucky to be surrounded by all the home’s staff, family and friends.
“They even managed to get the sun to shine for me.”
Olive was born in Birmingham and worked on the assembly line at Lucas Factory on Shaftmoor Lane, Tyseley.
She has two daughters, Eileen and Sheila, and four grandchildren – Ian, Clive, Donna, and Paul – who all wished her Happy Birthday on her milestone birthday.
Olive has enjoyed being part of her local bowling team, knitting and going on holidays with her children.
She moved to The Priory over three years ago and makes the most of their extensive activities’ clubs, attending both bingo and bowling on a regular basis.
