Severn Trent to start 10 week water pipe upgrade programme

Solihull Editorial 29th Dec, 2020   0

SEVERN Trent is to start essential work to upgrade aging water pipes in Solihull next week.

The company is installing brand new pipes along Foreshaw Heath Lane in Earlswood from Monday, January 4, starting close to the M42 bridge, near Birmingham and Solihull Rugby Club.

Phase one of this this programme is expected to take two weeks.

Engineers will then begin phase two of this programme, moving further down Foreshaw Heath Road towards The Limes Country Inn, from Monday, January 18, until mid-March.

Janine Billington from Severn Trent, said: “We know it’s a challenging time for everyone right now but making sure our customers have a reliable water supply is as vital now as it’s ever been.

“That’s why you’ll see our teams working along stretches of Foreshaw Heath Lane, carrying out these essential upgrades.

“We’ll be doing everything we can to minimise the disruption and we’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience as we get this essential work done.”

Temporary road closures will be put in place for each phase, with pedestrian access being maintained at all times.
