A YOUNG dance entrepreneur, from Solihull has secured funding from The Prince’s Trust to help her expand her business – Dc2 Entertainment and Dance Company.
Danni Cash is artistic director and choreographer of Dc2 Entertainments, and aims to provide quality dance performances for all type of events from awards ceremonies and flash mobs to private functions and weddings.
She received a financial donation from the Trust which will buy new costumes for her dancers and help with ongoing costs.
Danni started the company in January 2019, and it’s been hit hard during the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, this hasn’t stopped her and her team who have launched a series of online videos to showcase their talents and dance skills.
They’ve also been part of a new hip hop music video from an up and coming artist, which is due to launch later this year.
“Covid-19 has affected so many businesses, however we are staying positive and working on strengthening our offering via socially distanced training, creating new online content and looking at how we can maximise every opportunity,” said Danni.
“I’m extremely grateful for the funding and the ongoing support from The Prince’s Trust.
“The Trust has provided me with access to business mentors and this is really helping me drive my business forward.
“As a professional dancer, I know how hard it is to get work at the best of times and I want to create opportunities for dancers and help them be the best they can be in in this industry.”
The Prince’s Trust has also provided Danni with access to a number of workshops on marketing and finances, regular advice and ongoing contact.
Liz Whitfield, Danni’s mentor from The Prince’s Trust, added: “It is a pleasure to be working with Danni and helping her develop her dance company. She is a very ambitious individual, and it is great to see her supporting so many dancers and want to give back to an industry she loves so much.”
