PREPARATIONS are well underway for this year’s Acocks Green carnival.
The annual event will be descending upon Acocks Green Recreation Ground on Saturday, July 7 for its 45th year.
Groups, societies and businesses are being encouraged to dress up and take part in the procession either on a float or as a walking entry which will start at Archbishop Isley School at 1pm and finish at the recreation ground on the junction of Westley Road and Fox Hollies Road.
There will also Bhangra Dance by Aashiyana Arts, a show from Rockwood Dog display team and for the first time a craft fair marquee where local crafters can sell their handmade items.
