NEARLY 300 cannabis plants have been seized by police from a vacant terraced house in Chelmsley Wood.
Officers from the Chelmsley Wood police team raided the property in Chelmsley Road at 4pm on October 14.
It follows community intelligence suggesting the property was being used to cultivate cannabis.
Officers found almost 300 plants across four rooms, plus a harvested crop drying in the loft space. An advanced hydroponics set-up was discovered and the electricity had been bypassed.
No-one was at the property and, at this stage, no-one has been arrested but enquiries are continuing, say West Midlands Police.
