A SOLIHULL girl was delighted when she got to be ‘Queen for a day’ as part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Holly, who is nine years old, took up the right royal role and dressed as the record-breaking monarch during the Arlescote Road celebrations.
Plenty of activities took place on the day as the community came together to mark the marvellous milestone.
Traditional races, such as the sack race and egg and spoon, were part of proceedings.
Curious Creatures brought along some of its reptiles for the children to meet for free.
The event was a huge success and raised £80 for the NSPCC.
One of the organisers Caroline Sherlock said: “Everyone had an absolutely fantastic day – the children had so much fun and Curious Creatures was amazing.
“It was nice for the neighbourhood to get together after the past two years.
“It was great to raise some funding for a good cause as well.”
