COSTA Del Solihull is back and bringing the beach to the borough at Theatre Square Touchwood from Saturday (July 16) to September 4.

The beach will be free to enter and will be open every day, with visitors able to build sandcastles or sunbathe in deckchairs after their shopping trip.

The jazz festival will be coming to Costa Del Solihull on Saturday with Blues musician Ajay Srivastav playing alongside renowned tabla and Indian percussion player Vinod Kerai.

Then on July 23 there will be a live DJ, face painting and bubble machines at Touchwood’s big summer beach party and sports lovers will get to experience the Commonwealth Games on a giant screen on the beach between July 28 and August 8.

Touchwood marketing manager Lucy Burnett said: “With the Commonwealth Games in town, this summer is going to be one to remember, and we wanted to make it extra special here in Solihull.

“Along with our locally loved ‘Costa Del Solihull’ beach, set up for relaxing and watching the Games, we have invited local sporting groups to The Atrium where they will showcase their sports and provide interactive activities for visitors to get involved.”
