TO CELEBRATE 25 years of life-saving service, the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is seeking former volunteers, fundraisers, employees and patients to get in contact and share their stories.
Since its humble beginnings in 1991, the charity has responded to over 43,000 missions and has grown from its initial based at Hagley Hall in Worcestershire, to now operate from three airbases across the Midlands.
Changing its name in 2009 from ‘Air 5’ to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, organisers hoped to increase the bond between the vital service and the communities it serves.
Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “In our 25th anniversary year, we want to acknowledge the people who have supported the charity over the years.
“With no Government or National Lottery funding, our lifesaving service has only remained operational thanks to the hard work and generosity of everyone involved.”
Anyone interested in sharing their stories is encouraged to email [email protected] or call 0800 840 2040.
