A MAN and a woman have been taken to hospital after a car crashed and went down an embankment in Knowle in the early hours of this morning.
The collision occurred on the canal bridge on Bakers Lane, Knowle.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a critical care paramedic and a doctor and critical care paramedic from the Air Ambulance Service attended the scene.
Crews found the car in the field off Bakers Lane.
The man and woman were both found to have serious injuries.
Both patients were assisted out of the vehicle with help from firefighters, under the guidance of ambulance staff.
The man and the woman received trauma care from medics on scene before both were taken by ambulance Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further emergency care.
A third person reportedly left the scene prior to the arrival of the emergency services.
