GREATER Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership has appointed a new director of economic strategy – Henriette Breukelaar.
Henriette started her career in the Netherlands in community regeneration and has an MA in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam. She now lives in Birmingham with her family.
She said: “I’m excited to join the GBLSEP at such a crucial time for the local economy.
“As we’re coming out of the pandemic and restrictions are eased, it’s critically important that we support businesses to grow and innovate, create pathways for young people to get jobs and enable our cities and towns and local centres to thrive again.”
Prior to joining GBSLEP, Henriette was an executive director of marketing and innovation at ExtraCare Charitable Trust, the UK’s leading charity in developing and operating retirement communities.
