Guide Dogs always amaze

THE AMAZING work of Guide Dogs came under the spotlight in Touchwood as the charity used National Guide Dog Week to raise awareness, cash and support.

Guide Dog staff, trainers and users were in the shopping centre to tell people about the inspirational work of the four-legged friends.

People – including Solihull mayor Kate Wild – were also given the chance to try a blindfold walk to experience what it is like being led with a dog as your eyes.

Coun Wild said: “The work guide dogs do is so important to the lives of many people every day. The charities that provide this service deserve our full support so they can continue to make a difference.”
