GAMBLING addicts and their loved ones can get support and advice at an event in Chelmsley Wood.

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust is running at session at the Three Trees Community Centre on Hedingham Grove on Monday, June 20 from 10am until 1pm.

There will be free support and advice surrounding gambling and the impact it can have on a person’s life.

The session will look at how to spot the signs that gambling is a concern, myths around gambling, how gambling can be a hidden harm and how to guide people towards self-help and further support in Birmingham and Solihull.

A spokesperson for the mental health trust said: “Gambling can happen to anyone irrespective of age, gender, or financial circumstances, although it may feel like you are powerless to stop gambling, help is out there, and we are here to support you.”
