IT WAS the end of an era for Aruna Narshi as her luscious locks were chopped off after seven years all in aid of charity.

The maths lecturer at Solihull College and University Centre made the brave decision to cut off her hair, which she had been growing for the past seven years, and donate it to the Little Princess Trust.

The charity makes real hair wigs for children suffering with hair loss, particularly cancer patients.

It relies on donations of hair to do this as well as donations of monetary value which allows the charity to purchase wigs and also research into cancer and the cures.

Hairdressing student Sam Jackson used her expertise and knowledge, from her Hair and Beauty course to cut Aruna’s hair and gave her brand new style afterwards.

Alongside the donation of her hair Aruna decided to raised just under £500 to give to the Little Princess Trust alongisde her hair.
