Elderly couple's plea for return of money lost on Dovehouse Parade

A DESPERATE plea has been issued by a distraught pensioner who lost a large some of money on Dovehouse Parade on Tuesday morning, March 22.

The senior citizen had gone to the Post Office to withdraw some money, and put the notes into the pocket of her brand new coat.

It was the first time she’d worn the coat and its pockets seemed nice and deep, said her husband.

However when she got home she discovered that in fact the pockets had no bottoms to them and the money must have fallen straight through.

“We know it’s a long shot, but we also know there are a lot of honest people in Solihull and we would be grateful for the return of the money if anyone picked it up,” said her husband.

The police have been informed of the loss.
