A MAN has died after a three-vehicle crash on the M6.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said it was called to reports of a crash involving a car, a van and a lorry between junction 4 for the M42 and 3a for the M6 Toll just before 7.15am on Monday (February 28).
The driver of the car was the only person injured.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and a BASICS Emergency Doctor were sent to the scene.
A WMAS spokesman said: “The middle-aged man received advanced life support at the scene of the incident.
“He was then taken on blue lights to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire; the critical care paramedic from the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car travelled with the crew.
“Unfortunately, the man was confirmed dead shortly after arrival at A&E.”
