A BEAUTIFUL Dorridge garden is set to welcome visitors on Easter Sunday (April 17) to raise cash for charities.
Broadacre garden and estate will be opening its doors as part of the National Gardens Scheme Garden Open Days.
The event runs from 2pm until 6pm – admission is £5, with children going free, and dogs are more than welcome on a lead.
The Grange Road gardens are described as an imposing Edwardian gentleman’s estate with gently landscaped grounds, nature walks and venerable oaks where barn owls nest.
Guests can explore the nature trail through indigenous woodland, fruit trees and wildflower meadows.
Refreshments will be served at the Wisteria Wall, where the Country Markets stall will serve jams and preserves from estate produce, and cakes galore including lemon drizzle and spice with orange icing.
The National Garden Scheme is supports nursing charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Carer’s Trust, Queen’s Nursing Institute, Parkinson’s UK and Maggie’s.
