Comment: ‘No child should feel unloved’

Solihull Editorial 9th Dec, 2021   0

AS A journalist writing about death can be part of the every day job.

But the horrifying story of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes will stay with me forever.

His calls of “No one loves me” and “No one’s going to feed me” sent daggers through my heart not only professionally but as a mum and a human being.

No child should ever feel unloved, especially by its parents and carers.

No child should ever be deprived of food or water.

No child should ever feel alone in the world.

I think I speak for us all when I say:

Arthur, I love you.
