A CHARITY Football match to raise funds for several hospitals will take place at Shirley Town Football Club this weekend to raise money for the Ian Edwards Cancer Break Trust.
Much-loved Shirley man Ian lost his brave battle with cancer in 2010 at the age of just 29.
Since then, over £50,000 has been raised through a variety of events – with every penny going towards helping cancer patients being treated in the West Midlands.
The match – and fundraising day featuring a raffle and cake sale – will take place from 2.30pm on Sunday (September 20) with the match kicking off at 3pm.
Admission costs just £2 for adults and £1 for children.
