Appeal to locate sentimental locket stolen from elderly robbery victim

Solihull Editorial 5th Aug, 2022   0

WEST Midlands police are appealing to the public for help to locate a stolen locket which contains mementos of the victim’s deceased husband.

A 75-year-old woman was robbed on Carnford Road in Birmingham at around 5pm on Tuesday (2 August) and had the locket stolen from her.

The Victorian style silver locket pendant includes a photo of the victim’s late husband as well as cuttings of his hair so holds great sentimental value.

The police have arrested and charged a 46-year-old man from Great Barr in connection with the robbery but have been unable to locate the necklace.

They have issued three images in a bid to return it to her.

Anyone who’s seen the necklace or been offered it for sale are to contact West Midlands police via the Live Chat on their website quoting 20/695759/22.
