FEARS are growing for the safety of a 13-year-old who went missing last week.

Connor Kells was reported missing at midday on Sunday 21 September, 15 hours after his dad noticed that he was not in his bedroom of the family home on Cropthorne Road, Shirley.

Inquiries were immediately launched to trace the schoolboy who attends the Archway Academy in Bordesley.

Inspector Adrian Taylor said: “Connor has been missing several times before but he has never been gone for this long.

“Officers from across the force are searching for the teenager and have undertaken an enormous amount of work to trace him. Those efforts continue.”

Work to find the teen includes a trawl of hours of CCTV, dozens of visits to friends’ homes and regular checks on some of his favourite hangouts.

He has short dark brown hair, brown eyes and speaks with a Brummie accent.

He is known to regulalrly visit Birmingham city centre, Solihull town centre, Birmingham Airport and the NEC.

Connor or anyone who believes that they may have seen him should call police immediately on 101.
