THE CLOCKS will be turned back in Bentley Heath this may to celebrate 70 years since Victory in Europe Day (VE Day).

From 3pm until 5pm Age UK Solihull are preparing the stage for 40s style singer Madeline Brown, and Victoria Maxine presents Ladies Who Dance on Saturday (May 9).

There will also be tea and cakes during the interval.

Guests are invited to dress up in 40s if they wish.

Lorraine Hart, Fundraising Manager at Age UK Solihull, said: “It’s important that we recognise this key event in history, when six years of war finally came to an end.

“The event is a great way to get together as a community, have some fun and keep memories of that day 70 years ago alive.”

Tickets cost £10 for adults or £8 for concessions – those under 16s and over 65s – and are available by emailing

[email protected] or calling 0121 704 3361.
